Category Specific Taxonomy Filtering Tips

One of the strengths of the Animals on Stamps Database is the usage of Biological Taxonomy which enables you to group and search for the specific organism or organisms you are searching for. For more information on how taxonomy works, we recommend checking out this resource.

As you move to the right on the table (or higher on the hierarchy)- the grouping of organisms is more generalized.

The most specific classification for each record is the Latin Name which consists of two taxonomy classes: Genus and Species. 

Premium Users can filter by these by simply entering either the Genus (first word) or the Species (second word) in the Latin Name column.
